I’ve been pretty busy lately. My challenges are going well. I am feeling physically drained from all the article writing I’ve been doing. Yesterday, I topped 10 hubs and 7 infobarrel articles, and several ezines.

Make Money with Infobarrel Update 2
I started my infobarrel challenge Monday and it’s been going good. I LOVE infobarrel as a good alternative to hubpages and ezine articles for backlinks. They are GREAT for links for the following reasons:
-super fast indexing (you get indexed within a day, sometimes a few hours!)
-STRONG backlink juice (right up there with ezines)
-high quality article screening (you get a manual review for your first 10 articles)
-Adsense payout is 75% as opposed to Hubpages 60%
-clean interface
Infobarrel is sort of a cross between hubpages and ezine. They function like hubpages in the way that you can make mini articles and slap on adsense. However, they are far more stringent with content than hubpages or squidoo and manually review your first ten articles. If you post quality stuff, you then get preapproval status and all your posts go up right away without a manual review. Very similar to ezine, except that your posts are approved within a few hours — not weeks — and after 10 good articles, you are not manually reviewed.
It’s too early to tell if I’ll make money with infobarrel like I am with hubpages. So far I have not made any money with infobarrel, but it’s too early to tell. We’ll have to see when I reach the 75-80 article mark and I start to do some backlink work. From what I see, infobarrel does not have the sheer domain authority that hubpages does, yet. But in a year or so, I think they will be right up there with hubpages and squidoo. So any articles put up now will be in good shape to reap money in the future.
Now, if I don’t make any immediate money with infobarrel, I will have at least gained 100 very strong backlink generating articles. And let me tell you folks, the backlinks are strong. I created 3 or 4 info barrels about a topic and pump links to a money site in a weak competition niche. I’ve just checked today to find that money site is now #4 on the first page. It was page 3 a few days ago. Now, I’ve send a good 5 AMA and 5 UAW, 1 hubpage and 1 ezine to this money site, but it has NOT really moved up the serps for a good month. Now, this non-movement in the SERP’s could have been because of the sheer AMA an UAW spam I sent towards the money site. But whatever the case, my 3 info barrels helped out a good deal and put my money site squarely on the front page of google. So, I highly recommend you sign up an infobarrel account for the powerful backlink juice you can get.
Hubchallenge and Other Projects
Now, besides the info barrel challenge (which ends next Monday), and the squidoo challenge (which begins next tuesday), i’ve also decided to do another 300 hubs for an extended hubpages challenge. I’ve been churning out 10 hubs or so a day as well. Why? Because I’m making a fuck load of money with them. I had my best day 2 days ago with a cool $42 bucks from Hubpage adsense clicks. I’ve been averaging about 34-35 bucks a day now, with one day with 36 and one day with $42. It’s only going to get better as I keep throwing out more hubs, adding more ezine article backlinks, and begin to throw in info barrel backlinks, go article backlinks, and toss in AMA, UAW, and BMD.
I wish I had more time to just spend a week working ONLY on my hub’s backlinks, but I’m under the gone with these contests. Right now, I prefer just to churn out massive amounts of content for a month then come back and work the backlinks. I’ve decided, folks, that I’m going to have 1000 hubs done within two months. I expect, at that point, I can probably be doing close to $100 a day with adsense from my hubs. But who knows, it could be less or more. What I’m seeing now is that adsense with hubs is pretty stable — you reach a sort of average earnings or a week, then it moves up more, stays the same for a week, etc. As I add more hubs and work the backlinks, I am seeing some definite increases. It’s not instant, but there are increases each week. I hope to keep this up for a solid 2 months.
At that point, I’m going to turn my attention to some other experiments. Here is the order of my upcoming experiments:
*July 15-August 15: 100 Clickbank snipers sites in 30 Days
*August 15-September 15: 300 Article Flagship Niche Blog in 30 Days
*Septmeber 15-October15: 100 Ebay Niches in 30 Days
*October 15-November 15: 100 Blogger Blogs in 30 Days
Now, back to work!

I really enjoy your posts. I have this site opening in a tab when I launch Firefox. I’m a noob to Internet Marketing and don’t mean to offend, but what does AMA, UAW, and BMD mean.
Also, thanks for putting me on to Griz and Vic WOW! What an eduction.
You are an inspiration to me. I had about given up on making any money online until I somehow found this site. Thanks.

You are CRAZY, Ben, you know it???!!!!!! I cannot even think of doing such a HUGE amount of work, but you don’t think, you DO it! You motivate me with all your challenges! What , you want us follow you?! No, we will keep thinking it is impossible and calling you a madman. But you will simply grab your 100 bucks a day in a month or two and say it only takes a hard work. Yeah, we know it pretty well, it only takes us to move, to act, to work hard - that’s simple!
Come on, Ben, I’m already reading your every fresh post with trembling fingers and dry mouth, totally amazed of how crazy you are; and how good you are in making money online

@ Ricardo + Jother
Right now I’ve past the 300 hub barrier. By July 15, I really want to have at LEAST 500 hubs done, preferably 600. That would set me on track for getting another 400 done to reach my 1000 hubpages. After 1000, I will really start to focus my attention. I want to reach that 100 bucks a day mark. Is this possible? I think so, if only from the sheer amount of hubs. With over 300, I am seeing an average of 35 bucks (I made 36 last night, 33 the night before, 42 the night before that, 35 before that, etc). This tells me, that if I times my hubs by three (now, I need to pick the right niches. For every 100 hubs, you only end up with like 5-10 consisten performers), I stand a good chance of reaching at least 100 bucks.
Now, you will note that court says he’s going to take his 100 hubs to 100 dollars a day. I’m going to get 100 bucks a day with 1000. He’s opting to make his hubs more efficient by adding more content, sending more backlinks, etc. I’m opting to just make a lot of fucking hubs. I don’t think I’ll have to do too much backlink work, though my go is to have at least 5 link from other hubs per each hub, an ezine, a go article, and a run with my backlink software. But as you see, with 1000 hubs, that going to take a long time.

Hello Ben, that’s amazing how hard you are working. Do you mind share how you find so many topics and content to write? One sample hubs would be a great help for the right (bad) writing style for make money with hubs.
thanks

bob, I don’t do *too* much keyword search. I find a new (I try and target new niches every 5-10 hubs) niche that has some potential (good CPC, at least 200 exact matches a month) then check out the competition. I only choose longtails. If it looks like the long tail phrase has some potential, I just write about it.
To be honnest, I don’t get too nitty gritty about whether I can dominate the SERP’s with that hub etc. I don’t care about dominating the SERP’s with a hub — if I’m going to dominate something, I’ll use my own websites. My strategy now is to get longtail traffic. I KNOW if I pick the right longtail, I can still enter into a niche with PR4+ website on the top 10 and still get consistent clicks from all the long tail traffic I get. I might only get 2-10 people a day, but one or two of these will click — if I get the right niche.
I’m going to get cracking on an ebook about this (it’s either going to be free or two bucks — I haven’t decided. The reason for charging is that if something is free on the web, people don’t consider it valuable, hah) about exactly what I do. There seems to be some interest in it. I’ll create a sample hubpage account with 5 or so articles targeting 5 different keywords. I don’t think I’ll hook up adsense to the account, as I don’t want people fucking around with it and getting me banned (people do this out of spite).
Cheers

I felt exhausted just thinking about you doing all that work! Seriously, you are a human dynamo.
It’s very interesting what you say about Infobarrel backlinks. But I still want to concentrate on building Hubpages first, as it’s starting to work out.
P.S. It’s a pleasure reading your blog. So much information!

Thanks Ben. I am looking forward to see your ebook and sample hubs. With that pace, sure you will reach $100/day before the end of summer. Keep us posted.

Your output really is amazing.
Don’t forget that Info Barrel also has an author RSS feed. You can submit that to aggregators for BLs.

I’ll be waiting for the ebook too, Ben

Hello,
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!
Thanks

Sample hubs way to go ben i will be waiting for them. I am adding hubs but still thinking for the niches so decided lets throw it on wall and then see how it works.

Amazing stuff Ben - how many words do you put in a hub ? And are they all done using the same name ?

I generally aim for about 400-600. All hubs are at least 400, but most turn out between 500-600. I’ve gotten too lazy to do 800 word beasts and I’ve found I still make money with shorter posts.

Damn bro…just tired reading about what your doing. Hopefully I can do a quarter of what you are up to….you do motivate me though, so thanks for that.

Hi Ben! Were you able to automatically bypass manual review for your Info Barrel articles once you reached the 10 articles mark? I’ve submitted 16 total and they’re still sending my articles through the review queue. I emailed to ask them about it but never got a response. Just curious!

Hi Scarlett. The deal is 10 Articles and 14 days or some combination of either. I put up like 14 articles and then was given the preapproval status. But, it might take the average person 14 days before they get that — I happened to meet one of the owners online and he gave me the status when he saw my experiement.
Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben,
I am reading these posts the last few days now and it is really interesting. I started on some hubs and now i have 12. I only have big problems with subjects to write about. I use google adwords and i search for longtail words but when i check it in google all are taken by PR4 or PR3 websites. I have finding trouble after 12 hubs, how can you make up for a 1000? Could you pls give some extra advise?
Best Regards, Alex

Start by looking at a niche that targets a problem. Then start asking yourself questions that a person might type into google to solve that problem. Those questions or phrases that a person might type will be longtails, usually. And it’s those longtails that you want to target.
There are MANY MANY easy to dominate niches, it’s just a matter of looking.

Thanks Ben! I’ve been an Info Barrel member for about 3 weeks now, but still no dice on the auto approval. I’ll wait a few more days to hear from them and try sending another request.

Hey Ben,
Have your raising increased? Just curios about how your experiment is working out. Have you passed the $42 barrier?

Hi jother. Not yet. The way hubpages seems to work is that you reach a new barrier than thens go back down, but higher than before. I think I am averaging probably about 35 bucks a day. Probably the lowest I’ve seen in 2 weeks is about 18 bucks, which happened to be on a Sunday (last week). The average day seems to be around 35 though. I’m pumping a good 5-10 hubs out a day so this has to increase. It can take some time for your backlinks to kick in and whatnot. I’d say it takes about a week before you start to see ad clicks for a new hub.
I’ve also been lax with backlinks — besides hubpages and ezines, I haven’t been doing anything else to promote. I’m going with the whole, throw as much much against the wall as possible and then see what sticks.
Based on what i’ve been doing with hubs, my earnings will be increasing. Each new hub increases the potential.

Pretty good post. I just came by your blog and wanted to say

I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

Ben, nice site! Very inspirational. I’ve written 48 hubs right now by targeting keywords as described in TKA. Nearly all of these hubs have very few links. Aside from some random clicks I haven’t made much money yet. Would you recommend I add the 3 TKA links and ezine articles or spend my time by building more hubs? Reason I ask is because Strathy over at TKA made money without any links. Then again, a recent poster on TKA claimed that he made nothing with his unlinked 100 hubs. So confusing.

I’ve tried to keep putting ezine articles to each of my hubs, which does help. Right now, i am sending ezine articles and infobarrels to my hubs. I do notice an increase in traffic.
I’d say that it’s more important that you just get hubs out there. You CAN make money without ezine links or TKA links — though these will help. Just make sure each of your hubs has between 3-5 link from your other hubs. This should be enough to get you some money.
It also depends on your niche. If you pick the wrong niches, you probably won’t see too many clicks. Generally, what I do is see which hubs naturally start to get clicks. If I get more than one click, I start sending links to that hub.
[Reply]
Nice work here man… I was wondering, have you tried linking to your Hubs from GoArticles at all? If so, what kind of benefit did you get?
[Reply]
I’ve been reading your blog the past couple of days and your experiments are blowing my mind. I can really see where such single-minded focus really pays off and I think that is the thing I’ve been lacking in.
I work on this site here, then that one there, then I do a hub or two, and then I write an Eza article or two. And so on. I think I need to take this no guts, no glory approach you’ve got and start going all out on one thing for a month.
